Nicolas is a Senior Cyber Security Specialist at CGI with over seven years of experience in the technology domain. His main areas of expertise are cyber security, industrial control security, and crisis management. Nicolas works on complex projects on both the technical and policy level. He has worked in various sectors, including Government, Manufacturing, Aerospace, and Energy. Nicolas currently leads the crisis management portfolio within CGI, advising clients on their crisis management posture through trainings and simulations tailored to their business and IT ecosystems. He draws from his previous experience at NGOs and think tanks, having worked at United Nations in New York City, The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies, and the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, where he has co-published various reports on cyber security.
Nicolas leads the cyber security trainings of the CGI Academy, coordinating and co-teaching a wide variety of industry certifications. He has provided cyber security awareness trainings to over 200 CGI members in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. In addition, Nicolas is a frequent guest lecturer at Utrecht University and Leiden University, where he lectures on cyber security governance and cyber warfare.
